Raith Raiders and AM Soccer entertained this morning in a thrilling match as both teams showed great positive football but AM Soccer were undone by a 5 star performance by Raiders striker Hannah Fargie.
After an end to end frantic start, that saw both keepers make great saves, it was Hannah that opened the scoring with the first of her 5 goals on the 15th minute after great pressing play from Lucy freed Hannah to fire pass the keeper.
A Murray sister tag team saw Natalie and Christina link up well with striker Hannah who laid on a perfect pass for Christina to fire in the second.
Kaylee and Aimee from AM Soccer were constant threats to Raiders defenders Kelsey and Georgia but they did brilliantly to keep a clean sheet first half along with fine saves from Aimee.
The second half continued in the same fashion with end to end football.
Hannah got her second after a great run from Calla and link up play with Sienna as she fired into top corner.
AM Soccer girls fought back and a double from Aimee came to the delight of the fans as their reward for pesistance and positive football paid off.
Lucy got Raiders 4th as Natalie bore down on the Keeper , who made a great save but was unlucky as it bounced out to Lucy who rifled home.
Despite AM Soccer girls brave attempts to get more goals, it was Hannah who finished the game with a further 3 goals to take her tally to 5.
Well done to both teams for providing an exciting match. A special mention to AMs Cara who went in goals the second half and did brilliantly with saves despite it not being her normal position.
